'Naked Island' is a series of paintings I have been working on for over 5 years. The idea began initially as a practical way to bring my most successful ideas; yellow figures, spray painted sheep and empty landscapes together in a shared world. The effect has become something of a mishmash of what seem like film stills to an unmade film. I try not to intellectualize these paintings as the point of this series is a discovery into something unknown in me and to further develop and explore those themes that for whatever reason gave me a spark.
