Nature on Aerochrome

I shot my first roll of Kodak Aerochrome at Yosemite National Park about 2 years ago. It was my first time there, and my first time shooting on the technically-tricky, long-expired stock. I have been to more National and State Parks since: these pictures are a collection from those visits.

I was not born in America, but these parks have given me an enormous sense of home and peace during such a tumultuous time. I was surprised to find their ethos of stewardship, community, and care so moving. They’re also arrestingly beautiful: the sheer size and scale of their landscapes and features make you feel delightfully and deliciously small. It’s extremely comforting.

Aerochrome is the best way I know how to capture the magic I feel when I’m there. I hope anyone looking at these pictures feels it too.
