The series maps the relationship between the memory of dissident bodies and the landscape's organic textures. Often, the image is seen as a mere documentary record. Pedro Jorge's practice—born and raised in Capão Redondo, on the periphery of São Paulo, Brazil—challenges this. As a living organism, the image acts as a territory of dispute and self-representation. Nature functions here as an active space of preservation. Faced with an identity at risk and no address, contact with the environment becomes an anchor of survival. Photography materializes the title's desire: the continuous search to exist and resist in dialogue with time and matter. This paradox of vulnerability and permanence shapes his work and his role heading Racional.
