Palm Trees, Repeated is a photographic series and text developed through repeated returns to Southern California.
The work is structured around three separate moments, each following a shift in the subject’s life. Across these returns, palm trees remain the most consistent element. They first appear as something to be photographed, then something to be observed, and eventually something shared with others in a quiet, almost unspoken way.
The project does not attempt to document specific events. Instead, it focuses on how certain places are experienced over time. While people, routines, and relationships continue to change, the environment maintains a certain continuity. Light, spacing, and repetition become more noticeable than any singular event.
