I try to look at most things in my life with purpose and reason. I don’t believe that life is a stream of continuous, random acts.
My work revolves around people and aims to evoke emotion. I feel compelled to engage with the world around me; my work is centered in this urgency and is reflected in my documentation of life and community. When I document people, my goal is not to tell their story, but to capture an otherwise fleeting moment and hopefully portray it in a way that allows viewers to build an intimate relationship to the subject in the scene.
