I'm feeling a small sense of resolve at the end of 2019. The world has felt heavier and scarier in recent years, and the knee jerk has been a justifiable sense of cynicism. That said, I feel like we might be getting better at staying poised, resolute and empathetic in our actions. Perhaps this is wishful thinking, but my faith in my neighbours feels slightly restored and has me feeling cautiously optimistic for 2020.
