My practice is grounded in playful abstraction and the emotional textures of growing up. Through eccentric, organic forms and vibrant, contrasting colors, I explore joy as both energetic and tender, a kind of joyful tenderness that exists between memory and imagination. The forms often emerge through a physical, gestural process of drawing, developing into biomorphic shapes that take on a theatrical presence. As these forms develop, I explore the tension between opacity and transparency through layering and erasure, leaving traces of what came before and what remains concealed beneath interlocking shapes. Through this ongoing negotiation, colors, edges, and forms generate energy and vitality, turning each painting into a living surface where memory and movement unfold side by side.
