Peishan’s practice involves a variety of mediums including photography, moving image, sculpture and installation, and she specializes in using mixed mediums to speak about content. Early lens-based training developed her visual language, including a particularly dazzling optical effect, as well as her use of readymade objects. Peishan's aesthetic is expressed through the colors, textures and poetic emotions of the materials and the narrative given to her work through them. She is concerned with the issues faced by the minority groups in which she lives, and has also been discussing the relationship between urban systems and nature in her work over the past two years. Her recent work focuses on the multiplicity of relationships between space and objects and people.
