My education was in illustration, and like most illustrators I grew up drawing inspirations from cartoons and animation. I got into painting because there weren't any illustration classes offered in my local university. When I moved to California to study illustration I tried to keep painting, but often it wasn't the best solution to illustration jobs. In 2013, after working as a freelancing illustrator and creating a lot of quick digital work for clients, I got a studio and began painting again. I love writing and creating stories, and all of my paintings are quite narrative, so I never stopped being an illustrator. Last year I self-published a book called Finders Keepers that I wrote and illustrated with paintings.
