Prismtect is an interactive piece that runs in the browser. A glass tetrahedron turns under a long-exposure Milky Way above a still lake. Starlight enters the glass and leaves as a rainbow across the night sky. Tap the glass and a two-digit number appears inside it for a moment, then fades.
The sky is computed cell by cell rather than photographed, and light bends at each face of the glass by Snell's law, rendered live with three.js. It runs on a phone or a desktop, free, with no sign-up and no ads.
The images are stills from the live piece, three desktop and three phone.
