Public Display of Aggression is a piece that was featured in OffRoute Art's 2025 fellowship centered around conflict resolution in the crisis of empathy. It is a piece that discusses the occurrence of how those who hold positions of power and lack empathy provoke marginalized groups and then sensationalize and monetize their warranted reaction. I chose the symbol of the tiger due to the sordid history of innocent show animals being exploited and provoked for audiences. I was inspired by Constructivist art and shape language to exemplify the bold and explosive energy of the scene. The Constructivist use of text is implemented in the stripes of the tiger's tail morphing into characters that are often used as expletives in comic media, showing how the reaction can always follow the affected's reputation.
