Rakhi

This work is made on watercolors and charcoal. It simply shows a gathering of cousins, uncle, aunties, maa, papa and me, we all together are comfortably spending time, sharing childhood giggles. It is Rakshabandhan, a festival. That long, rhythmic, black thread shows the connectivity and bond among all of us which is been rooted since ages. The warm, muted colors are always a style of mine to show the luxury in dullness.
