In this small series of photographs, I document musician, director, and overall great guy, Navan Islam's walk through his old neighborhood. Despite currently living in the suburbs of Staten Island, Navan still considers Brooklyn his home. While perusing through his old elementary school, he couldn't help but recount childhood memories of wrecking juvenile havoc around Bushwick. Neighborhood mainstays like Chinese food restaurants, laundrymats, and community centers held a myriad of tales, however, these places are vestiges of what Navan's home used to encompass. If it could all be so simple.
