Hi everybody!
I am Pierpaolo Catini an italian artist based in New York City and I want share with you the experiments I did until now, while I am using ... garbage! Yes, in my SculPaintings (it's a sculpture, it's a painting) I found a funny way to enjoy mixed media artworks recycling everything I can. I came from pottery so, I always loved 3d and materic touchable artworks but, technically I consider myself a painter.
Creating new surfaces with plaster, glue, stucco, I also see how interesting are eggshells, stones and more exciting: bones. Shapes are already so unique, sometimes I add little clay sculpture on my characters, also wood, plastic, toys and dolls eye that gave life to my characters! The result is this series of different people I invented on my own, but you can see also Vincent Van Gogh. Keep watching!!!
