This is a traditional watercolor painting and reimagining of the pokemon “Mawile”, Kuchito is the original Japanese name of this creature. It’s part of a series of paintings that pull on concepts, tales and myths within Japanese yokai folklore like the “Futakuchi-onna”, a female-like creature with a monstrous mouth on the back of her head and from which the original pokemon design is vaguely based on, though not specified that way in the mainline lore.
