Self Exit

Self Exit is an ongoing art project about the mind: how it traps us, how it frees us, and what it takes to leave an old self behind. I work mainly in high contrast black and white, combining photocopied textures, fractured anatomy, sacred geometry, and blunt, heavy type into images that sit somewhere between medical diagram, occult symbol, and protest posters. My roots are in DIY punk, zine making, etc, and that ethos still drives the work: made by hand, printed cheaply, meant to circulate. Much of it comes from my own experience with recovery and the slow, unglamorous work of changing who I am. The imagery is dark, but the intent isn't despair. Breaking something open is often the first step toward rebuilding it.
