I’ve always loved the similarities between flora and fauna. The spots of a leopard feel almost repetitive in nature — echoed in the patterns of other animals, and especially in flowers.
I like the idea that the same kinds of markings can exist on something as delicate as a flower, and something as powerful as a leopard.
It reminds me that perhaps these two things can exist within one thing, too. Anger and kindness. Power and fragility. Things that seem like opposites, but don’t necessarily have to be.
I think that’s something I’m learning to make more space for in myself too — that I don’t always have to choose one or the other. Maybe there’s room for all of it to exist at once.
