Launa was born in the Pays Basque, raised on a boat, and spent time in Australia before returning to France. Her work is influenced by surf culture, shaped by a life lived close to the ocean.

She is a multimedia artist working in wood, paper, pencil, digital illustration, pastel, and acrylic. Her work moves between two visual modes: dense, airbrushed colour fields on dark grounds, and sparer pencil and pastel drawings on white. Her work is a surreal, chaotic internal dialogue, bold colours, nonsensical logic, everything and nothing at once.
