I saw a Borden delivery truck while stuck in traffic and knew what my next painting was going to be.
I’ve wanted to make a painting with a lot of detail, color, and repetition. The Elsie painting was very demanding because each Elsie has four imprints - one for the outline, one for the flowers, one for the face, and one for the tongue.
Elsie the Cow is a renowned American advertising icon from the Borden company with history dating back to the 1940s.
