This body of work explores the lexicon of digital image culture, touching on processing techniques including distortion, compression, and image appropriation for the purpose of collage/mash-up. The body and organic forms constitute through lines. The aim is to investigate the ways in which omnipresent digital technologies affect our perception of "meatspace" (the real world). This work also ties into Hito Steyerl's ideas around the poor image: an appreciation of the degraded, rapidly circulated sludge that forms the backbone of the internet's visual culture.
