Soft Decay in the Neon Forest is a series of hand-drawn digital illustrations featuring mushrooms, snails, insects and other tiny organisms. I created the artwork in Adobe Fresco using both vector and pixel brushes. As a neurodivergent artist, I tend to obsess over the small organisms, patterns and connections found in nature. The bold, unnatural colors reflect the way I experience that world: intense, strange and full of life. The work is not meant to be realistic. It is meant to grab the viewer’s attention and pull them into my colorful interpretation of the forest floor, where life, decay and transformation are all connected.
