Food is something that always reminds me of a time and place.
I use acrylics to paint items that are synonymous with my current residence of New York City. Some subjects I feature include street food carts, pizza, and strip steaks. From cheap eats to fine dining, there are never-ending culinary options and that’s what I find really charming about the city.
My art seeks to immortalize memorable and temporary moments, specifically food, through painting. I think of the comparison between cooking and painting in regards to time. The end result of one is meant to be consumed right then and there, while the other can exist eternally.
