I do not begin my practice with predetermined themes or concepts. My photographs emerge from encounters with people, birds, objects, reflections or trees, in moments when I feel that reality reveals itself to me in a way I cannot fully explain except through the act of photographing it.

When I take a picture, I do not try to understand why I am making it. Its meaning emerges later, when I return to the photograph and remember not only the place or the people, but also how I felt at that particular moment. The image grows out of an emotional relationship with reality and time. This project is about photographs I take on my way to work, home, or the shop. I love the way reality sometimes reveals itself to me, how all these elements come together to create a kind of magic that I manage to capture.
