Gromyko Semper is a Filipino contemporary artist whose intricate drawings unfold as fragments of an imagined mythology. Through obsessive linework, meticulous detail, and surreal encounters between human, animal, and fantastical forms, Semper creates visual worlds that are at once playful, strange, and deeply personal.
His practice moves between precision and fantasy, drawing from popular culture, folklore, memory, and the uncanny. Rather than simply illustrating imagined creatures or narratives, Semper uses drawing as a means of world-building—creating densely populated spaces where humor, wonder, vulnerability, and darkness coexist.
Semper’s work has received international recognition, including the inclusion of his artworks in the Lunar Codex, a time capsule in the Moon preserving Humanity's best Art.
