My work explores the stories and emotions hidden in everyday life, drawing inspiration from personal memories, childhood imagination, and cross-cultural experiences. In Summer Night, I revisit the feeling of the last evening of summer vacation through dreamlike moments: a mother's bedtime story, the song of a cicada, the scent of summer greenery, and the distant lights of a hometown. Connected through sensory memories, these scenes transform ordinary experiences into a world of wonder.
Working across digital illustration and traditional media, I combine playful characters, expressive shapes and vibrant colors to create approachable visual narratives. I am interested in how familiar places, objects, and fleeting moments hold emotional meaning, and how illustration can turn these small observations into imaginative stories.
