Tache is a personal project that translates Rorschach-inspired inkblots into six sculptural ceramic forms. Rather than approaching the test as a diagnostic tool, the project explores how we search for meaning within symmetrical ambiguity. Each inkblot was coloured and used as a starting point for AI-assisted image generation, allowing unexpected forms to emerge. The resulting images evoke ceramic objects, giving visual ambiguity an imagined sense of weight, texture and presence. Suspended between recognition and abstraction, the forms invite viewers to discover their own associations rather than a fixed meaning. Named after the French word for “stain”, Tache extends into a visual identity, from the wordmark to editorial presentation materials.
