Born from the need to give shape to anxiety and the fear of death, Tanatofobia addresses the confrontation of our vulnerability and how to transform it into art. Shaped by profound losses—from my mother's passing when I was 12 to the recent loss of my father and close circle—my identity has been built upon a succession of absences, manifesting as somatic anxiety and hypervigilance.
This project is a visual investigation into the psychological imprint of grief. Entangling family memory, self-portraiture, and X-rays of my own body, it turns an invisible anguish into a tangible topography of human vulnerability, using art as a refuge to tame finiteness.
