My name is Steve Gilliland, and I am a musician and visual artist living in Bloomsburg PA. My artwork is inspired largely by technology and the digital age, so I use circuit boards, video game controllers, doll parts and other various electronics in my work. With some pieces, I try to depict electronics and controllers as if they are buried artifacts, while others are an attempt to capture the living spirit of a video game reaching out to pull you in. Some pieces are simply meant to be creepy depictions of futuristic android babies, which are inspired largely by Sid from Toy Story (and Star Wars). Others are meant to be ariel shots of landscapes, with the circuit boards filling in for city structures.
