Anna G is the iconic corkscrew designed by Alessandro Mendini in the 1990s. As far back as I can remember, we’ve always had one at home. My feelings towards Anna G have changed over the years. Sometimes I found her sweet and charming; other times, she gave me the creeps.

That feeling never really went away. Even now, when I see her standing in the cupboard, with her empty eyes and unsettling smile, there’s something uncanny about her. So I decided to lean into that feeling and create the Alessi Demon.
