Thousands of years ago, the settlement of Glastonbury, UK was on an island (some even claim it was the ancient legendary Isle of Avalon) and although today it's surrounded by dry land and marshes, something of that uniqueness and mysticism that comes from isolation remains. The Dry Isles is an ongoing photography project exploring the relationship between people, landscape and spiritual life around Glastonbury and the Somerset Levels.
