These are sample illustrations from my first published picture book titled "The Field" written by Baptiste Paul and illustrated by myself! Within the kid lit market, my interests in illustration lie in representing the beauty in diversity and an attempt to capture the humor, attitude, personality and individuality of kids today. I started off my career as an art teacher so have carried with me a desire to create art that will be seen and loved by children. I work to also send a message to kids that the publishing world is a world that wants to hear their stories and see their artwork. My goal is to bring a wider range of kids, cultures and skintones to our bookshelves by advocating for more diversity within the publishing industry itself. To have culture being created by as diverse of a team as the world is today.
