“The Freedom of Just Being” Series

"The Freedom of Just Being" explores what it means to experience unscripted time and quiet pauses. Inspired by existential inquiry, this series looks at the pressure to constantly produce, and reframes moments of doing nothing as a valid, authentic state of being.

To express this release from societal roles and expectations, the seven works use acrylic paint and stencil techniques on paper. The combination of fluid brushwork and sharp, structured marks creates a visual balance between freedom and containment. Ultimately, these pieces suggest that meaning does not need to be chased or manufactured; it is found simply in existing as we are.
