"The Golden Age" is an ongoing series of paintings reimagining the visual language of Hollywood’s Golden Age through a contemporary lens. Drawing on iconic film posters from the 1940s–60s, the works revisit an era whose imagery embodied elegance, romance and carefully constructed ideals. Each original oil painting is paired with reverse-applied gloss vinyl on shadowbox glass, a process Jeremy Bianco calls VetroScope, creating a layered interplay of image, reflection and shadow. Sitting between painting, graphic design and cinematic memory, the series explores how nostalgia shapes our perception of the past, and what these images continue to represent today: an enduring fascination with beauty, optimism and the art of presentation.
