My art is an inseparable part of my life with disabilities and my trans identity.
I grew up on the margins of society, without access to a quality education and, at times, even basic necessities like food and a stable home. But I never gave up on my dreams. I taught myself almost everything I know, and kept moving forward.
This journey didn’t happen overnight, or even over a single decade.
"The Light Within Me" is a painting about resilience. It now hangs on a collector’s wall, and it speaks directly to my life and the belief that light can overcome evil and injustice. That light has always existed within us, even when we forget it’s there.
