Submission Painting

The Opium Dream

Through the different mediums that I like to work with, primarily painting, but also through video making and music, I try to capture the complexity and spontaneity of inner conflict.
I often represent female characters, mostly self-portraits amplifying different traits of my personality. I place these characters in settings that symbolize their subconscious. The relationship of the character to the setting in which it is placed intrigues me as I try not to predict this place, and let my subconscious reveal what it is.
I consider my paintings as testimonies and revealers of my place in the world. Or the place of a more general particular expression in the world. I often represent the loneliness of the artist, the isolation of a certain sensitivity and the never-ending process of self-realization.
