The Silent Not Being

“Inadequacy”— that silent yet deafening feeling of being inadequate, out of place, wrong, or broken.
Feeling like we “don’t belong” in a place, in a body, in a space around us ruled by darkness.
Masking our emotions, making ourselves invisible and unrecognizable; being afraid to “be.”
With this series of photographs, I wanted to try to give voice to this invisible emotion, seeking to capture those moments when our very existence seems to swallow us up in a vortex of darkness, leaving us inside it with a desperate, inexpressible silence.
