Submission Painting

Tilly Trevitt: Body Of Work

My work investigates consciousness, inner transformation and meaning-making. I create semi-autobiographical 2D/3D works with paint + found materials. Intimate archives. External memory systems. Indirect records of lived experience & emotional residue.
I approach each piece as a material text, letting meaning emerge through layering, erasure & return. Like myths or oral histories, my works hold unstable meanings.
Intuition is central to my process. I focus on building, not deciphering, information-rich worlds. Fragments of text, organic forms + motifs form a private language alongside embedded objects.
My practice is increasingly forensic lately, exploring the line between attraction/repulsion; beautiful/disturbing. My assembled works are archaeological and bodily. Unsettling altars to the ordinary. Remnants, vessels, skins.
