Humanity has been interacting with computer screens for a short time, respectively.
The way we perceive our surroundings and each other is changing.
We mediate our relationship to the world and each other through technology, predominantly through flat screens, it has become unanimous, and more intimate.
For better or for worse, we are more connected and stimulated than ever.
How does this affect consciousness?
This series of images is a romantic reflection of this paradigm shift, from the perspective of somebody born in the midst of the digital revolution (1999). I am thinking about connection, empathy(or the lack thereof), spectacle, stimulation, simulation, mediation, photographic representation, etc. The light flare is a common motif in my work that alludes to ideas of spirituality, consciousness, and transcendence.
