I was originally inspired by my therapist to combine family of origin with my artwork. I thought for a long time about how I would portray my stepmother (a narcissist). This is how I see her from my mind’s eye-as ash. I am the model representing my stepmother. I chose my neighbor friend, Aryah, to portray myself as a child. I executed the makeup, photography, and editing of these photos.
