Based between Wyoming and Virginia, Lily Hobart uses photography as a means to research the temporality of the natural world. Her photographs often lack a distinct place, and rather work to shift the viewers’ gaze to the elements themselves. Through a kind of close looking, Lily hopes to blend the differing time scales of geology and humanity, allowing a new perspective on how we fit into and affect our surroundings.
