Uncheck Project: A Collective Interpretation of Race and Ethnicity

Hello!
My name is Cecile, I am a recent Fashion graduate from Parsons School of Design. I organized a two days art and design exhibition at The Living Gallery Outpost in New York City, called Uncheck Project: A Collective Interpretation of Race and Ethnicity. By exploring the perspectives of mixed-race/multicultural individuals, Uncheck Project invited viewers to study and reflect on the multiple connotations of race and ethnicity. Amongst the exhibited artwork, a participatory art installation titled “Uncheck Yourself” was presented as well as three framed garments recollecting the unique stories of three mixed-race French/Cameroonian family members.

I would like to ask for your support and share the work and the journey of Uncheck Project which I hope you will find impactful. I wish you a good read!

Best,
Cecile
