My paintings are acrylic abstract landscapes on canvas or paper. How people feel, how they live, how they were brought up, alters their perception of color. Red can signify power to one person and intimidation to another. My art explores specific color combinations and shapes that affect the mood, mindset and behaviors depending on a viewer’s history and culture. Because painting in the abstract is so limitless, I give myself guidelines and work with a limited color palette in order to focus on forms and shapes.
