Kind Kid Company is a multidisciplinary artistic practice founded by South African artist and designer Sanele Qwabe in 2021. Rooted in childhood, memory, imagination and identity, the practice explores the relationship between who we were, who we become, and the parts of ourselves we carry along the way.

At its core, Kind Kid is an ongoing conversation with the inner child. It reflects on the dreams we once held, the worlds we imagined, and the experiences that shaped us as we grew older. Through this lens, the work considers childhood not simply as a period of the past, but as a place we can continue to return to a source of creativity, resilience, vulnerability and possibility.

Working across sculpture, art toys, drawing and painting, Qwabe builds a visual language that allows these ideas to take different forms.
