“Rough Land and Warm Hands” explores the lives of children growing up in the harsh landscapes of Sistan, Iran. Through their faces, gestures, and everyday surroundings, I seek to reveal the fragile boundary between hardship and hope. These children, often overlooked by society, carry dreams that remain alive despite poverty, labor, and the unforgiving conditions of their environment. The contrast between the roughness of the land and the warmth of human connection lies at the heart of this series. Through light, shadow, and the quiet presence of each figure, I aim to create a space where vulnerability, resilience, and dignity become visible. For me, painting is not merely a representation of reality, but an act of witnessing—a way to give presence to those whose stories are too often left unseen.
