Vacíos Vi-gitales is a series of digital works built from empty architectures—corridors, corners, walls without doors—rendered in flat planes of color and heavy outlines. In each, ojolo, the eye-figure, appears small and silent at the edge of a space that offers no exit and no explanation. The title splits “digital” into “vi-gital”: in Spanish, “vi” means “I saw,” so the screen becomes a place where seeing is vital yet never enough. Some pieces carry the stains and fibers of their sister series in oil on paper, as if the digital void remembered having a body. Absences not to inhabit, but to look at, and to be looked at by.
