The project is a conceptual representation of emotional indifference toward someone or something that once elicited profound feelings. This detachment is shown by stripping a jigsaw puzzle depicting Van Gogh’s Roses (1890) of its vibrancy, pairing its isolated blocks and individual pieces with synthetic, domestic, and bureaucratic elements associated with containment, freezing, and filing.
