Where Land Meets Water — Aotearoa New Zealand

I photograph the places where land and water meet in Aotearoa New Zealand, often from above, where a coastline becomes a line and a river becomes a drawing. I'm drawn to scale: a lone boat off a headland, a braided river meeting a lake, a sheltered bay under dark bush. My work is slow. I return to places across seasons and wait for the light to do something ordinary and remarkable.
