Who Rules the Land of Denial?

Over the last few years, a crack in the world — and in my perception of it — has been finding its way into my street photography.

A pandemic, a war, an AI revolution, economic turbulence — none of these changed my daily life directly, yet somehow they altered the texture of the world around me, and my sense of belonging to it.

I think a lot about how we cope with this. We cope by looking away. Ignorance, where possible, becomes an effective antidote to fear: we grab whatever control is left and retreat into the autopilot of our daily routes and routines.

But whatever we refuse to look at doesn't go away. It lingers in the city at night. That is what I go out with my camera to find.
