Maria Naidyonova explores the complexities of human relationships through figurative drawing and painting, with a particular focus on intimacy, attraction, and vulnerability. In her ongoing Lovers series, she captures the gestures, expressions, and physical closeness through which emotional connections unfold. Drawing on real-life observations, sketches, and studies, she transforms fleeting moments into watercolour-and-ink works on paper, as well as large-scale layered mixed-media compositions.
