X_RAY is an experimental photographic series created using a flatbed scanner as an image-making device. By placing subjects directly onto the scanner and working with movement, colour and digital transformation, the process shifts them away from straightforward representation. Forms become fragmented, enlarged or difficult to identify, producing images that move between photography and abstraction. The series explores how a technical tool designed to reproduce an object can instead become a way of constructing a new image.
